Call centre is across the other side of the world. Some issues have taken over 8months to resolve, being passed between several engineers and having to explain problems/logs etc. Issues have been reported to TAC but im not impressed. Didn’t do anything fancy with them and encountered quite a few weird L2 issues and limited feature releases. We also acquired a couple of 8325s for aggregation in DC.

Have some stability now but was a longish journey. We put them into production once 10.1.x had been out for 8months* and they remained temperamental right the way through to 10.3.x.

We then moved onto the 8320s CX and were probably one of the first to use them, starting from firmware 10.0.x (yep, beta testing). Monitoring via Solarwinds wasnt as easy as Cisco as there seems to be a bias with templates etc. Couple of gotchas but on the whole they worked. Didn’t take me too long to transpose configs from Cisco. Went from a Cisco house to HPE.Īt first i only had exposure to 3810M/2930/5400 and in all honesty they were bullet proof.
